At my first visit I must have been invisible. With exception of the lady greeter at the door no one said hello. Its a small group so I don't understand how everyone there didn't notice a new face. Regardless, I will continue to attend

If you are seeking an opportunity to grow spiritually through meditation and studying the ancient wisdom principles of meditation combined with right activity, the Seattle Center of SRF is worth a visit. You will be greeted warmly and made to feel welcome.

Profound peace. The sincerity, devotion & gentleness within the center grounds me. When I first entered the center, I felt as though my soul has come home. The people who volunteer here are exceptional & vibrant. The authenticity of peace is profound.

Nothing better out there that I have found

This was a very interesting church a blend of Christianity and Hinduism. I would definitely go again!

In the 10 years since that first visit, I have continued to attend services and meditations regularly, and have found Paramahansa Yogananda's teachings to be utterly thrilling in their combination of profound theoretical wisdom and simple applicability to daily life. The basic message is that every man is a child of God and that this nature can be intentionally cultivated through yoga practice to experience God as a definite and real experience. It begins with ineffable peace and grows into a bonfire of joy and bliss. With this understanding, the commonalities between various religious beliefs become evident, and the differences appear to be only in the external details.

When I first attended a long meditation at the Seattle Center of SRF in 2006, I was deeply moved by the sincerity of the group, sitting long and quiet, seeking to quiet the mind and feel the peace of the soul.
